We are looking to add a taproom server to help our front of house team provide the best customer experience. Applicants must be a community minded individual who is passionate about craft beer, making guests feel welcome and being a part of an amazing team. Applicants will be knowledgeable about craft beer, have serving experience and show a willingness to take initiative. You will provide excellent guest service and contribute to Tapworks Brewing as a community hub. 

Responsibilities and Duties

- Making guests feel welcome and creating a memorable experience
- Learn and communicate product knowledge for both beer and food: ingredients, styles, tasting notes

- Serve alcohol in accordance with Serving it Right

- Maintain cleanliness of the taproom and surrounding areas
- Handle cash, use POS system and cash out
- Other duties as required

Skills and Attributes Required

- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Multi-tasking

- Ability to work in a team or independently
- Great communication/interpersonal skills 

- Serving it Right certification
- Proficiency running a point of sale system

- Be able to easily lift a 20L keg (50lbs)

Tapworks added a Burger Shack to its incredible rooftop patio. Overlooking the water, this unique eatery is inspired by beach-side concessions -- but with the same commitment to quality and fun twists its host brewery is known for. There is an emphasis on quality, house-made, key ingredients that elevate simple, nostalgic food to create a memorable experience.

We are looking for a Prep Cook/Dishwasher to support the team in delivering quality food to customers in a timely manner, in accordance with recipe and cooking guides. To be successful in this position, you will be an efficient and hard-working individual with great teamwork skills.


Responsibilities and Duties

- Work with you manager to ensure quality standards and cooking/recipe guides are followed

- Efficiently prepare food

- Review wastage reports with your manager

Skills and Experience Required

Any experience working in the kitchen is an asset, but we will trade the right candidate.

- Foodsafe Certification is an asset

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn!

- Willingness to work evenings and weekends

We are looking to add a part time or full time Weekend Front of House Manager to lead our front of house team to provide the best guest experience possible. Applicants must be a community-minded leader passionate about quality craft beer and food, making guests feel welcome and leading a successful team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • - Leading the front of house team both by example and in a supervisory capacity in:
  1. Making guests feel welcome and creating a memorable experience
  2. Providing exceptional, friendly customer service with a great understanding of product knowledge
  3. Serving alcohol in accordance with Serving it Right
  4. Maintaining cleanliness of the taproom and surrounding areas
  5. Handling cash, use POS system and cash out 
  • - Delegating tasks and responsibilities to ensure organizational goals are met
  • - Daily balancing of cash and tips
  • - Coaching and reporting on team performance
  • - Monitoring, contributing to, and acting on key performance indicators and other targets
  • - Other duties as required

Skills and Attributes Required

  • - Weekend and evening availability
  • - Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • - 1/+ years in a managerial capacity
  • - 1/+ years in the food and beverage industry
  • - Great communication/interpersonal skills

  • - Understanding of metrics related to food and beverage operations

Pay

Through the Canada Summer Jobs program, we are looking for a Brewer to assist in the development, brewing and reporting on beverages (beer and craft soda). To be successful in this position, you will need to be diligent, hard-working, creative and have strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Contribute to the research and development of craft sodas and non alcoholic beers
  • Brew (including set-up, take-down, cleaning and other duties related to brewing) non-alcoholic beverages
  • Meticulously follow procedures and meet quality assurance and control standards
  • Other production duties as required such as:
  1. Washing kegs
  2. Sanitation procedures
  3. Packaging
  4. More

Skills and Experience Required

  • Personal attributes: detail-oriented, hard-working, excellent communicator
  • 1/+ years of education or experience in brewing, recipe development

$28/hour, discounts on beer, food, merch and more!

This position is under the Canada Summer Jobs program and requires applicants to be 15-30 years in age. The contract is available for 16 weeks maximum at 30 hours per week.
